I’m not black, a woman, or a person of color; can I still join?
Black women and communities of color have historically experienced the most damaging inequities in wellness, outdoors and income and therefore are the communities we prioritze.
Outdoor Besties welcomes co-conspirators who may not share those identities to amplify the important work we do.
do i need to have a certification to host an activity?
Creditials are not required, but passion is. We do however, encourage certifications and trainings - click here to view our recommendations. If you have certifications, please include them in your profile as it shows competence and increases trust.
Are all the activities hosted outdoors?
All activities should have an outdoor element to them either partially or fully.
Who Are Ambassadors?
Ambassadors are the amazing leaders that host activities on the Outdoor Besties App. They care deeply for people, nature and include, Outdoor Enthusiasts, Entrepreneurial Creators, Community Builders and Collaborative Leaders.
What is the refund policy?
You may request a full refund for activities purchased on the Outdoor Besties platform 48 hours (2 days) prior to the start date/time of the activity.
Unfortunately, we cannot grant refunds for payments made outside of the Outdoor Besties platform.
what happens if my activity needs to be canceled due to weather?
Our goal is to safely embrace the diversity of all seasons provided by locations of our outdoor-based activities. However, it may be necessary for Ambassadors to cancel an activity if weather presents an environment that would be unsafe to continue.
In those cases, your Ambassador should notify you about the need to cancel your activity and you will receive an automatic refund for the scheduled activity if you have paid on the Outdoor Besties platform.
Memberships are not affected and will not be reimbursed for one cancelled activity .

How do I communicate with those who book my activity?
You can message your activity participants directly in the app via messages and the comments section of the activity.
how much should i charge for my activity?
Ultimately, the cost is up to you. We suggest a good balance between accessible and worth your time and experience. The average member expects to pay about $25 per activity.
Why do you charge a fee?
We collect a flat 15% on electronic transactions; this fee covers the costs of the products and services we provide; including credit card processing and marketing your activity to our broad audiences in the US and Jamaica.
do you verify all my activity postings?
Yep! We review all listings to ensure that the necessary details have been included in an effort to help you maximize bookings and provide a great outdoor activity.
When will I get paid for my activities?
We initiate payouts to Ambassadors each Monday for the prior week's earnings to the PayPal, CashApp or Lynk account details you provided to us when you created your Ambassador profile. Payments may take up to 7-10 days to process.
Can I change my profile information?
Yes, it’s your information and you can edit it at any time by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper left hand corner of the “My Profile” tab in the Outdoor Besties App.
How is my information shared or used?
Trust is a big deal to us so we only use data that you provide to us under the user consent. Information shared is maintained in compliance with the law and in full confidentiality.
Data that is shared is never associated with any personally identifying information; it is anonymized and aggregated to help us refine our service offerings, apply to grants and/or funding opportunities.
my ambassador didn’t show up for my activity, what do i do?
We hope that never happens! But, if for some reason your Ambassador/Outdoor Bestie does not show up at the specified meeting area within 20 minutes of the activity start time and isn't reachable through the contact methods specified in the activity details; please email support@outdoorbesties.com to request a refund.
is my credit card information safe with you?
Your credit card info is securely processed by Stripe; Outdoor Besties and Ambassadors never have access to your credit card data.

How can I share feedback about my experience?
You can add feedback in the Outdoor Besties App directly in the comments section of the activity you participated in or by messaging your Ambassador directly.
